August 17, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Cell phone. Check. Pizza. Check. Order a pizza using your cell phone without having to talk to anyone else. Check.

Cell phone meet Pizza. In the UK in select area’s Domino’s Pizza customers can send a txt message and receive a fresh, hot and delicious pizza. The catch, oh yes, there is always a catch. You have to register online once. Anyways this is really smart and we need more of this innovation over in the U.S.

Myspace vs. Facebook

August 17, 2007 · Leave a Comment

This suit is black. Not. As Borat would say. The increasing popularity of facebook and the decline of myspace is creating a rift among young people. I for one don’t ever use my myspace account anymore, not that I ever really did, but the fact is that it’s like Wal-Mart compared to Target.

I’m sure you can see the analogy and pick which site is Wal-Mart. I will have to say one thing that bugs me about facebook though is the fact that they let everyone in so that they could cash in on the opportunity. Facebook.com when I signed up was only for college students with a valid edu email address, now anyone can sign up and search.

That is the reason why I never liked myspace, the fact that stalkers could search you profiles and message you. There was no control on who could join and that allowed all kinds of freaks the right to search and go after people. Anyways this topic does have a more valid point then simply which one I prefer more.

Just check this article out on adage.com and see for yourself.

This is an interesting article:  Why Facebook old man?

No Stuff No Stay

Former publisher John Lumpkin is out after the recent closure of Stuff Magazine. As you might remember Stuff magazine had a final farewell party a few days ago with The Donald’s daughter as the host. Lumpkin had worked as publisher for Stuff since the beginning of last year and after meeting with the new boss, Kent Brownridge, CEO of Alpha Media Group, a position could not be found to suit Mr. Lumpkin.

18 employees are out of work now after this change in ownership. Alpha Media Group is reorganizing their focus on Maxim and Blender magazine now. I only have one question what about my magazine subscription to Stuff?
